Used to be, I would be able to walk into my bank and get a small loan for about $500, pay a small monthly pmt with a decent interest rate for about 9 months to a yr and be done with it. Well banks won't do that anymore. What else is a person slightly overextended supposed to do? Don't say "family". That access to money went out with allowances. So, I apply for a short term loan with extensions available to the time I have to pay it off. I've done it a few times in CO and now for a 2nd time in NV. Unfortunately I have found that state gov't already intervenes in these loans. They dictate when I have to pay it off. With "4 extensions" I expected to spend the summer comfortably paying a small amt monthly when my disability check is deposited. Nevada says I can't do that and must overextend to pay it off within the allotted 35 days they have deemed as long enough. My next bout with heart failure & life support will come with the added stress NV has now added to my life. Oh, wait. That was the reason for the first one! Oh, I might have been ok financially this year, but the feds claiming there was no rise in the cost of living last year gave me no COL raise this year. Wonder how much they spent sending out those fraudulent letters?

What happens to those customers? They have no other option. The government wants to shut us down, but what about the banks that are charging $35 every time a customer bounces a $15 check? That is basically like a loan: they pay it until the customer can pay them back, but they charge 35 dollars each time. With us, a customer knows that if they need a hundred dollars to get them through until the next payday, they will only have to pay back $15 dollars not $35 dollars. PLEASE SAVE MY JOB.

Banks are not going to give us loans when we are in a pinch. They humiliate us and then turn us down. Payday lenders are always there with a smile. I am very grateful for payday lenders.

When my husband had emergency open heart surgery at age 41, he was out of work for about 5 months. Subsequently, he has had several more surgeries in the past few years and is currently unemployed. I tried unsuccessfully to get a small loan from the bank. I too am a lung patient with COPD, so we have a lot of medical expenses. Insurance is so much higher through my job than what my huband's job offered. So, I thank God for the check cashing payday services. They are willing to loan money WITHOUT my having perfect credit & I have always paid my account on time. They take the chance and have faith, something we can all learn from. It has literally made the difference between being able to feed my family and buy our medicines versus being hungry, sick & having nowhere to turn. God bless them.

I need to know that there is always the option of a pay day loan. I have used it sometimes in the past, to pay my rent, when my car broke down,for emergency medical care, when my utilities were shut off and the list keeps groing. We used to have a pay advance center in my neighborhood, untill the state decided to close it's doors and we were stuck. Banks do not like to lend money unless you have money. Thank god i found cashnet on line it saved me from lots of grief. haven't had to use it lately but you never know what may come up. I am glad it's there for me when I need it.

My husband had unexpected heart surgery in 10/07, and due to him being out of work for over 3 mos. w/o any benefits we got behind on our car payments, and eventually lost our car. Our credit went into the dumps, and the only way we can survive in an emergency is to borrow from Cashnet. It has saved our lives many times, and we are grateful that it is there.

As a Market Manager overseeing 10 Short Term Lending Stores, I have seen many instances where our being here to loan someone $50 or $90 has made the difference in that person and her children having electricity or having a roof over their head. I have personally made Short Term Loans to customers who needed to make a car payment so they could continue to go to work and earn money to buy their family food. We provide a great service to those who can not get Short Term Loans at any bank or credit union. Our compassion and desire to lend Short Term Loans to those who are in need and do not have other outlets, must continue.

I've had varied postions within the company, so I know why our customers use our product and how we help when there are no other alternatives for people. I know some people abuse this service and shame on them, but there are truly many people who use us in dire times. It should be up to a consumer to use our products, not up to our Government to socialize our country.
